Laura Tristán, Mayor of Alt Àneu
Dear neighbors, dear visitors of our town,
On behalf of all the people who are part of the municipal corporation, I would like to warmly welcome you to the town hall’s website, which aims to be the main gateway for citizens and visitors to the Alt Àneu City Council.
This page aims to be a tool to provide information about municipal services, and to do so in a clear and accessible way. A useful and functional tool for resolving issues, for citizen participation and for achieving maximum transparency. In addition, it is a very important meeting point to get to know the Alt Àneu in depth, its traditions, festivals, activities and services. This portal must contribute to making every one of us feel like the City Council is ours.
The new technologies define the present, and we want the administration to be transparent and open. This website will be updated so that you can make any inquiries, procedures or suggestions. We want to make information available in a direct and swift way and define new channels of relationships with people. Your opinions and complaints are the essential elements necessary to improve the functioning of the City Council. We want to make of our town a place tailored to the needs of everyone.
I want to emphasize the fact that, for me and for the whole government team of the council, it is an honor to be able to serve you from the mayor’s office and from the City Council. I want this website to be the useful communication tool we all need. Receive a cordial greeting.

The coat of arms of Alt Àneu Town Hall is quartered. Its four parts represent the four antique municipalities that merged in the late 60s of the twentieth century to form the current Alt Àneu. The open golden castle represents Valencia d’Àneu; the second is a silver agnus Dei lying down, representing the ancient municipality of Isil. The third, also made of silver, is an arrested chamois surrounded by sinople representing the old town of Sorpe. The fourth is a three-part patent gold cross from the old town of Son.
The flag of the municipality is landscape, with colors that derive from the shield to make the campers. The figures on the coat of arms are transformed into squares: the golden castle of the first camper and the cross of the fourth are the yellow squares of the flag. The agnus Dei of the second camper is the purple square and the chamois of the third is the green square.
